I am going to have a little boy at the end of October. I feel very unprepared. What kind of advise can ya'll give me? What have you learned over the years of being a parent?

First of all Congratulations and welcome to the wonderful world of being a parent. I am not sure if you will be a stay at home mom but if you are my advice is make sure you get dressed and get out of the house on some days!!!! It can be very depressing living in sweats and pulling your hair in a pony tail day in and day out. Another thing, is even if you don't want to, even if there are a million other things that need to be done, SLEEP WHEN YOUR NEWBORN SLEEPS!!! I am sure you hear this a lot but sleep helps your sanity! Most importantly, TRY to enjoy your baby... you are going to be scared of everything at first. But remember if Crackhead mothers can have babies that are healthy and functional, we can do it too!! :-)
