Do some babies just burp on their own? I have the worst time trying to burp her.?

My baby is only 5 days old but never wants to burp when i try to burp her....Is this normal, do some babiesj ust burp on their own??

You should really try to get her to burp when you pat her back, otherwise the air bubbles that are in her tummy might cause her to spit up. Try working from her lower back and pat up to the bottom of her shoulder blades. If laying her on your chest over your shoulder is what you are doing now, try sitting her on your lap with your hand on her front for support and patting her with your other hand. Since she will be in a semi-hunched over position, the air will be forced to come up. I hope this helps!!

You just have to keep trying. The gas in her belly will hurt. Try different postions sometimes just moving them makes them burp. It takes months for babies to burp on there own. Just keep trying it will work out once you figure out what position works.

No, not until they are older. If you will try laying her across your lap, & patting her (starting at the top of his/her butt) & go upward this should help. If not as akward as it looks place her with her belly kinda over your shoulder (you'll know what I'm talking about when you get there) and kinda do that rock walk that you do when they are fussy. Hope this helped!
