if u really want it then get it.but if u catch germs easy then maybe not many ppl do infections with just their being priced.also that ur mouth u eat some i sure germs will be flying in and out ur month.maybe get something elseedit:also maybe if u want until u moved if go to collage get it then.so that way she can't say anything

no dude...dont do that..most of us guys find that so unattractiveand plus theres a whole bunch of health issues associated with that...infections are very commoni know you'll hate to hear this, but your mom's right about this one...you shouldn't do it..

Oh, ok, you catch germs easily and you understand that, so you still want to get your lip pierced? It seems to me that you do NOT understand at all. Can you imagine an infection on your lip the size of a baseball? Swelling and puss leaking out, a trip to the Dr. for antibiotics which might NOT work? Can you imagine a gigantic scar on your lip after it finally heals? I think you do not understand your mother's concerns at all.Young people think that nothing will happen to them, the same ones which get shot at 3 am outside some club, the same ones that get killed in a car wreck going too fast on a rain slick highway.Your mother loves you and wants to keep you safe, she probably is more conservative than she needs to be, but she KNOWS that she does know what might happen and she knows that if you don't get the piercing, that you will be alright.Even a piercing that does NOT have a complication will leave a scar if and when you decide to give up the piercing. Your picture seems to indicate that your complexion is dark, well, scar tissue is NOT dark. Do you really want a pink dot on your lip is everything goes ok or a large jagged pink scar if it doesn't? Listen to your Mom.

I am not going to convince your mom to let you get a piercing and I am not going to tell you what do either. Remember some things that you do to your body now you can not fix later (tattoos, most piercings will heal but can leave scars). I will give you a couple of links that you can read and make that determination on your own. When you turn 18 you will be able to decide on your own but you really might want to seriously consider this before doing it. I have no tattoos or piercings and I really do not like them but that is me. Since I am a photographer I have seen a lot of piercings on many of the models I have photographed (in all places). This goes for tattoos most of the time I do not like working with models who have tattoos and this is determined on size, location and the style.Most teenagers get things like this done to "stay" in the group of their other friends because they have one. When my oldest son wanted a piercing I told him no, when you turn 18 and on your own you can do what you want. Well he did what he wanted later and got tattoos and piercings. He is 27 now and has removed all of his piercings, (nose, eyebrow, ears, tongue and lip). He wishes he did not get some of the tattoos he has and in the locations he choose.
