year old trying to get out of bedtime.? She has done this 3 times in the last 2 months and she really seems like she is totally out of it like a sleepwalker. I ask her about it later and she says she can't remember and gets angry so I want to believe her. She is not a deceiving child at all.

If it's not real, you have an EXTREMELY manipulative five-year-old. Claiming to not remember it at all isn't a move most five-year-olds would make.

And yes, it happens.

If she's never given you any reason to doubt her, then don't. She's probably telling the truth.

Oh, and double-check your child safety situation. A sleepwalking child can be a danger to him or herself if they aren't in a very secure, safe environment.
