I'm not sure that's true. Most great composers had one love interest after another. Ditto many great writers. Talent is an aphrodesiac.

because they were such geniuses that other ppl would just distract them from their work. they were also probably perfectionists and lived in their onw little world. or they wee just too smart for other ppl.

Maybe they have anti-social behavior, and thus they have much time to reflect upon life.
