What do you study in specific??? I am going to take a introduction class in the fall and would like to know a little bit about the class so i do not go in there completely blind...thank you to anyone who helps...

This is the course description of mine.This course is an introduction to the "basics" of philosophy. It will introduce the basic questions, frame the basic arguments these questions have engendered, and introduce students to the major figures in the history of philosophy who have both raised the questions and attempt to answer them. This course seeks to define what philosophy is and what its parameters are. It will also attempt to answer the questions "why philosophize"? Specifics would be like philosophy of art, philosophy of science, political philosophy, process and reality, existentialism, etc. Have fun in school, lol. Study hard.

let me tell u...don't worry about preparing for a philosophy course....philosophy was my minor in college. You will find that it will be a interesting course. Intro philosophy will basically give you a glimpse into some popular ideas and arguments posited by philosophers. I am almost certain that you will touch upon the ontological dilemma in case u want to study something. you will also certainly discuss inductive and deductive reasoning. Hope that helps and have fun..I loved all of my philosophy courses!!!
