why ?? if not then why not ?? when we grow up i mean being matured we start looking forward for a life partner or someone very closer to us. it may be for sharing some of our thoughts and ideas, it may be for having sex, or may be some other things.but its true that we always look forward for that.

Of course it's "possible" to live your life without any life partner. There are many people alone. I don't feel it's by choice for all of them, just that they've never met that special person they were able to share their lives with.It is a basic human desire to be loved for the vast majority of people, and most people desire to have someone to share their lives with. They desire love and the sharing that comes with it, someone to depend on and someone to lean on when times are tough.The ones that don't desire that usually have been burned by relationships somewhere along the way and just prefer not to take the risk that comes with giving yourself to another person.

yes it is possible if u can have sex without going into a relationship. it is possible bcoz to live u need food, shelter, clothes, society, etc. u need some sexual activities but u r not gonna die if u don't have sex. but sometimes at a certain point u will need someone to share ur thoughts, past, present, laughs, tears. bcoz when ur alone u need someone.
