The only one who has control over your life is you. Only you can make change happen. If you wish to change then do so. Look to your friends and family for help.

It's a good possibility. You know you should get off drugs and try to straighten out your life. Through fasting and prayer God will be able to help, maybe not as rapid as you would like, as these things tend to take time. In my religion someone once said something to the effect of: "The study of Christ can change behaviour more effectively than the study of behaviour can change behaviour."

Distraction always helps. Pick a distraction that will turn out to be real and tangible. Hard candies and cashews are good.

I personally know many people who turned to God and were not only helped, but totally cured. my husband is an exemple of that, (over night, totally cured -body, mind and blood- of hard drugs he use to use every day) if you wish to know more, you can email me at monfille@yahoo.com

You betcha! I am living proof. I knew he would allow me to give my testimony for the good. I was an addict and was a slave to methamphetamine's for several years. When I reached my lowest point. I got down on my knees with tear filled eyes and I prayed to my Lord "Jesus I can't, but you can" and believed in my heart that he heard that prayer. It was not overnight that he freed me from the bondage I was in but it did happen. Hallelujah, I give him the praise. He is wonderful. The poster below me is correct in the fact that you do have to put forth a little effort. But I never went to a rehab. Jesus was my rehabilitation. He wants you to cast all your troubles on him. He love to help you. He Love's unconditionally.Buy the way I am now a College Student with a 4.0 GPA pretty good for an ex junkie huh! And I owe it all to JESUS

Yes, but I would imagine God would help you out much like the Good Samaritan who helped the Jew. Someone in a drug rehabilitation program somewhere would be more than happy to fill the role of the good samaritan if you will let them serve you. God likely will not cast a lightning bolt down from the sky to change you. You will have to put forth the effort. I can't tell you to repent, but if you feel you have done some things that you shouldn't have done in your life, you might try repentance. If you are sincere, I believe you will be prompted to act and the things you need to do will be placed before you.

If you have true Faith in Jesus Christ who promises to always be with you even to the end (biblical) and you repent of your sins and be willing to make Him your Lord and master, then yes He promises He will. You may have already done the above, just sharing in case you haven't. Actually, it is almost impossible to do this without God. This is why the alcoholics going thru rehab have the 12 step program where they seek the help of a higher power. We can do anything thru Christ Jesus who strengthens us (biblical). The bible also says that we don't get because we do not ask. To get off the drugs would of course be God's will for you, so be sure to have Faith in the great physician who is willing and wanting to heal you. God bless

It depends, in my opinion, on whether you currently believe in God or not. If you believe in God and you believe he is with you and carrying you through the hardship of getting off of drugs, then God can help you. If you don't believe in God and you try to use God to help you get off of drugs, I would say that it will be of know help. God is like a placebo drug in my opinion. If you are a believer, you are taking a pill (God) that you think works and your belief that the pill works just might make you better (even though it's a placebo). The best thing you can do when trying to get off of drugs is change the people you hang around with that supply and/or do th drugs. That should be step one. Then find someone whom isn't into drugs, but is really motivated and concerned with your well being and wouldn't mind helping you through those rough times. Do a lot of self-talk. Ask yourself questions about your drug use like "how did this all begin", "why do I like these drugs", "What would I like to do if I wasn't on drugs all the time", etc. You get the point...well if you ever need anyone to talk to you can email me at call4fire23@yahoo.com....anytime.Good luck and be strong.Sean

Of course he wopuld help you, but that does not mean it would be easy for you, or that he would just take your adiction away from you miraculously. You would need to show him that you are serious by praying then doing something about it yourserlf pray before you fall into giving in to temptastion he will give you the strength to carry it out if you are sincere and you ask for his help. But you can do it, I know you can I gave up smoking with his helpeven though I could not even imagine being a nonsmoker not lighting one up first thing in the morning and last thing at night, yet now I have been a non-smoker for over 23 years I have also met others who had other drug addictions, they too had been helped to get rid of their tortures and now are free from bondasge to these things. So definately you can get help from God, you need to want it though God will not force you to do it. Best wishes with your determination to straighten out your life. God wants you to enjoy your life not to exist under bondage to anything. Please do turn to God he will bless you for it. Peace to you.

You already have everything you need to live a godly life. You need to understand God's help is right at your door. All you have to do is open your heart to Him and invite Him in. All the help you need is all around you just waiting on you. You know what to do. Just pray that He will give you the strength to suffer withdrawal and get to a rehab or treatment or therapy or AA and do whatever it takes. God will help you suffer through what you need to go through but few people get the magical deliverance from the desire to use. The craving took a long time to get over, but I just prayed for strength. You are strong because you are seeking help. You are wise because you came to the right web site. You can do this!!! God bless, Janie
