| I was at the park a week ago with my friends and boyfriend and I accidentally got a splinter in my right middle finger. I thought I got most of it out with my nail, but now I see a little brown peice of wood under my skin, but its right in the middle of the top section of my finger and the skin around it is sensitive and a little puffy and when i apply pressure it hurts a lot. I don't want to go to a doctor cuz its a hassle, are there any home remedies i can use to get this stupid thing out of my finger?

| You can try soaking in a bowl of hot water and epsom salt. The water should be as hot as you can stand it.Epsom salt helps to draw it out.If it gets worse you may need antibiotics.

| Soak your fingure in warm water that will help soften your skin and pull the piece of wood twards the surface, but your still going to need to use tweezers to pull it out. It sounds like your fingure is getting infected also so get an antibiotic ointment like neosporn, that will help with the puffyness and pain.
