Any fix for the Xbox 360 3 red lights of death? Will Microsoft fix it for free...

...since its their fault? I bought my 360 in Jan 2006

Well you know Microsoft they have trouble admitting they made a mistake. I recently called in and told them I bought my 360 in June of 2006 and the told me it was one month out of warranty and I had to pay $140. It looks like yours is out of warranty if you bought it in Jan. 2006. There is only a year warranty on the xbox 360. Mine lasted 13 months. (Got lucky I guess).

If you registered in Jan 2006. They will ask you to pay for a problem that is theirs. I am sure you can argue with customer service. If you never registered then they will make sure they help you and act like you just bought it yesterday. Good luck, it's not Microsoft's fault that you bought the inferior hardware.
