| I mean, seriously insane. Someone who you loved dearly... like maybe your mother, father, sister, brother or other loved one. Even if it meant they may hate you forever. Would you do it, and please tell me why?I'm in a really bad situation right now, and I just need to see how others would deal with this situation

| I would get them help right away for their sake as well as the sake of everyone else around them.

| This is extremely hard to do. You have to have solid proof they are mentally unstable. It usually has to come from a Psychiatric evaluation. Otherwise you must prove the person is a threat to him/herself and others. i.e. arrest hospitalization for suicide attempts etc. The best way is to get the person help by taking them out of a bad situation. Getting them to a doctor for evaluation and treatment. Speaking to them clearly on your soul purpose to try to help them recover. Most states just do not do this any longer unless they are under age or an intervention is at place.God Bless you and grant you peace you will be in my prayers.

| i'd do whatever i could to get them the help they'd need.if they'd be extremely suicidal or a real danger to themself and outta control, and no other choice i would have them committed if they'd refuse to sign their self in.i've been committed so many times and yes i hated them all and was extremely angry.but i've ''gotten over'' that part.if i'd not had those who cared enough to committ me i would not be alive today and i am glad they did committ the times they did.i'm the one-even though ****ed up--i left them w/ no choice.good luck.it's hard, might take very long time--but maybe someday they also will be glad someone cared enough to go that far to help them.don't be mad at yourself if it comes to that.you might save live{s}.my people did.

| If I felt my relative truly posed a danger to themself or to someone else, and all other alternatives had been exhausted, then yes I would have them committed. If I didn't do what I could to protect them or someone else, and someone was hurt later, I would never be able to forgive myself. When a person is that ill, it is the responsibility of those that love and care for them to take action in order to provide safety and protection just like a mother who protects their children. Children often don't thank their parents at the time either, but they often come to appreciate their actions later or, at the very least, forgive a parent who has acted out of love and concern. It's a tough spot to be in, but those we love are dependent on us to make decisions for them when they no longer can.
