Wisdom tooth pulled, piece still there? I got my wisdom tooth pulled on Monday, and now that I am looking at it, it looks like part of the tooth is still there. I have had two other teeth pulled before and knew it did not hurt nearly as much as this does, and was wondering how possible it would be to still have a chunk of tooth left? I know I heard the cracking of the tooth as he pulled, but he only pulled out one piece. This is the same dentist who pulled my other two teeth and I figured he knew what he was doing, but now I am starting to wonder. If he did leave part of a tooth in, what would he need to do? I am scared to go back, it was a traumatic enough experience as it is. Do you think they could put me out this time to remove the remaining tooth? It does not look like an exposed bone or anything, it looks just like a tooth.
Also, is it normal to have blood over the spot still? It looks really nasty and bloody even though it was pulled a day and a half ago.
