Why do I always feel sore 2-3 days later?

Kryesore Why do I always feel sore 2-3 days later?

I workout about 3 days a week with weights and always alternate muscle groups. Some muscles will get more sore than others and some not at all (the high use muscles, chest, biceps), but one common theme is I generally will not feel sore until 2-3 days after my workout rather than the next day. Why?
