| count to 10 befre responding, leave the room, go for a walk, exercise, jog, ride your bike, journal, talk to yourself, scream into your pillow. Of course of it gets out of hand there are always "anger management" classes or visiting the psychologist, or jail time that will attempt to teach a person to change but they will probably come out worse without help. I guess different things work for different people.

| proper exercise proper diet If you feel angry take a few big deep breaths before you speak. If you are with someone else and you feel out of control or you are going to be out of control leave the room for no more than 15 minutes. If you leave for a longer period than I feel you're avoiding the issue and that's not usually a good approach. Leave the room for 15 minutes then come back and try again to have a CIVIL conversation. If you have to repeat this process go ahead until you're successful. If you still have personal anger problems I would try a social worker or ask your physician to recommend someone to help you with this. Some women's abuse centers offer councelling for men or women. It's actually immature to act out of control or sometimes it can be a chemical brain imbalance or if someone is impaired by drugs or alchohol. It all depends what your individual problem is. If you can't figure it out on your own I'd ask for phycological help. good luck p.s. the fact that you're asking means you want to fix the problem that's part of the solution right there. good stuff.
