| Hello, I have recently started weight lifting 3 times a week. I have only been doing it for 3 weeks now. I have problems with endurance, especially on basic exercises (bench press). For example, I'll do 125 lbs for 8 reps the first set. I'll increase it to 135, for I'd hope 5-6 for a drop set but I can only do 1 or 2. In frustration I'll go back to 125 lbs, and this time only be able to do one or two (i'd get it up 6-7 times with help every time). I have been taking creatine in the morning.. it has helped with endurance before. Should I be taking it right before the workout? Is this endurance problem likely caused to me still being untrained (I haven't lifted in several months)? I dont think Im overtraining, I do push (chest, tris) one day, legs one day, and pull (arms, back) another day - only one main body part per week. I think I'm eating enough protein.. any idea what could be the reason for a lack in energy/endurance?
