Are smokers really that bothered by the ban?

I live in Switzerland (no ban) however people generally don't smoke indoors at home. for the past 7 years I go outside to smoke, i like it even in winter. At parties balconies and gardens are packed with smokers and non smokers, there wont be a ban here but a choice of better installing of A/C for smoking place, is this because people are more tollerant. how is it in the uk?

Hates public smoking bans with a passion. Even more so when they are widespread and encompass every last thing. Not sure about the particular one you are talking about though. But in general yes.

I'm not bothered by it all. I find it more fascinating that just a few years ago, i remember people use to smoke in grocery stores! Does anyone remember watching the News and the person delivering it smoked throughout the entire report. We've come a long way baby.

I think it all dpends on who you ask, some are more bothered about it than others.some people are considering it to be denying thier right to smoke.......even if that right is shortening there life.(No offence to those who do smoke_)

I don't mind going outside for a cig at the moment but it will be a different story in winter with snow,rain and wind making it to cold to sit outside!!

I think it's stupid!If it was something different-it would be called discrimination!It's definately discriminating the smokers!I don't think it's that fair!Suppose it's good for the non smokers!At the moment I'm not bothered about it....but when I go out on the town n have to stand outside of pubs n clubs in the wind n rain just to have a fag....I'll be angry!Even the landlady of a pub I go to is selling because of the ban!
