Should I use Clear Care contact lens solution or use the old plain kind?

Well with Clear Care I have to take them out, put them in the socket, rinse, and wait 6 hours. AND you have to use a LOT of the solution to fill the case up, and I heard it's best in confort but it actually feels the same as other brands to me. I ware contacts and you don't change solutions with out talking to an eye doctor first. I picked up the wrong solution once and got an eye infection from it.
