| Good if boiled and bad if fried. But always very starchy and the only calorie you gain is fat.

| Sweet potatoes are the best, but i wouldnt say either are bad. Assuming of course they are cooked in a heathy way (preferably baked). The reason being is that sweet potatoes are digested slower and therefore do not cause an insulin spike which can cause you to gain fat.

| potatoes are good as long as they are not smothered in butter, sour cream or anything else fattening.1 cup of mashed potatoes (or 1 medium baked potato) is only 80 calories.

| They are great Carbs for energy boosting, however it is good to exercise with eating potatoes. If you don't then they equal bad carbs. Its great for sports.
