| Hi. I had a root canal about 2 weeks ago, and the soonest my dentist could schedule me for the first of two crown appointments is next Thursday (June 12). The thing is, I'm supposed to leave on vacation on Sunday (June 15) for a month! So, will my temporary filling on the root canal last that long? Or should I schedule the appointment & get the post put in for the crown, and only have the temporary crown until I get back (around August 20th)? Any advice??

| I'd go ahead and begin the crown. The temporary crown will be much stronger than a temp. filling. You dentist could also give you a little temporary cement to take with you on vacation in case the crwon comes off.
