Are many people into necrophilia?

I'm just curious. No I am not into this but I do find it fascinating that people actually have sex w/dead people (ewwww!) I heard of something called "sleepy sex" which is a fetish to have sex with people that are sleeping and I guess this is a form of necrophilia?

Necrophilia is often caused by an extreme fear of the opposite sex, which most the time is triggered by an awful event in childhood. (A mothers beatings to a young boy. Or being outcasted by a physical abnormaility mabey?) So they take up to the only place their not afraid to go, the dead.Y'know not being judged, or put down.Not a necrophiliac myself, just really interested in disorders like this. :]
