| ...emotions.Is sleep deprivation to blame? Specifically, my eyes keep welling up with tears, I'm not thinking rationally, I'm feeling very paranoid and I had a couple of minor panic attacks. Could this be sleep deprivation or something else? I've sleep better the last few nights and feel a bit less emotional. I've also been using a new contraceptive pill for the last 3 months, so maybe this is a factor?I didn't sleep much because of work stress, stress in my personal life & insecurities. Also, I had consumed alcohol some nights last week and so didn't get "real" sleep, as I woke up in the middle of the night with dehydration and the next days hangover made me quite paranoid. God, I sound like a bit of a mess when I'm writing all of this down!

| Your emotions and the pills may result in your being sleep-deprived because your hormones change and you may have too much cortisol in your system. You may also be staying up late nights purposely. Adopt a more natural sleep-wake cycle and your bdoy will be adapting in a while to the pattern.

| Absolutely. Gets some good rest and see how much better you feel. I do the same thing if I miss too much sleep, I cry easy when I get too tired. That's when I know, I've over loaded myself.

| Is either a hormonal problem caused by your pills or sleep deprivation.U should read the instructions from your pills. All of them have SIDE EFFECTS!I feel almost the same things when I'm on my period so it might be the pills.

| Be careful babe u r going on a windy rocky road, this is how i started. No sleep is the worst thing to lead to depression, u must go docs, never mind booze its not good, get something from doc they might get yr pattern back, unless u have worrries then u will have to go counselling and confront them ,or they will keep coming back to haunt ya.calligas
