...gel when we do an RT-PCR? The primers that i use is RDP-18 from R&D systems. The information they have given in their technical data sheet is quite confusing to me.They have given that the cDNA size is 485bp and the positive control is 320bp. Do i need to expect a 485bp product or 320bp product on my gel from the details they have given? When i did a PCR with the positive control they had povided with their product, gave me a 320bp band on the gel. But my samples gives me 485bp product. I would appreciate it if someone could give an answer.

its working fine. Its quite likely that your pos control is subcloned and can only give a 320bp product whereas the PCR'd transcript from your samples can produce a 485bp product.
