Can hayfever cause chest infections?

Until today I thought I had hayfever but now my chest is very tight and wheezy. I've had asthma since I was 3 and have only recently started getting hayfever. Can anyone tell me if hayfever can lead to chest infections?

No, not usually. Because hayfever is a seasonal illness, you usually will only get sneezing, sniffling, a runny nose, and itchy or watery eyes. It affects the mucous membranes of the nose and upper air passages, but not the chest. You may be coming down with something. Hope you feel better!Also, I don't think going to the hospital is necessary unless you're having a severe asthma attack. You may want to see your doctor if it gets worse, or even if it doesn't get better soon.

Anything that causes a runny nose or head congestion can cause chest infections......In can go straight into the chest....I hope it gets better soon....GOOD LUCK
