I'm thinking about getting my belly button pierced, how old do you have to be? does it hurt alot? and how long does it take to heal?

i think you have to be about 13... and my friend told me that you just feel a little prickle...but usually it doesnt hurt even as bad as an ear pierce. i think it will heal in about 3-6 weeks

I had mine done when I was 15. It didn't hurt because they injected me with numbing stuff first. I think the worst part was walking into that tattoo parlour and seeing all these "weird" people. The actual process does not hurt but it's the healing process! You have to take really good care of it and clean it well, they told me I could use contact fluid or saline solution, luckily it didn't burn like having your ears pierced! I'm not sure how old you have to be but if you take your mom or dad with there shouldn't be a problem. And don't have it done at a pharmacy with the ear-piercing gun, do it at a tattoo parlour, it might be scary at first but they know what they're doing. And once it has all healed and it's not so red anymore and it looks so nice it was all worth it! I had to take mine out now, we're pregnant so it's not going to look good anymore! LOL just enjoy it and don't be scared, be responsible about it!

You have to be 18 in most states unless your mom or dad will sign for you to have it done. I think it is alittle painful not to bad. It is hard to say about how long it will take to heel it is 6 weeks or longer everybody is not the same when it come to that. I will tell you if you are alittle on the heavy side I wouldn't do it is you are barbie size then you shouldn't have any trouble. I hope this helps and if you have it done MAKE SURE YOU CLEAN IT.
