Oldcity Tourism. Anyone had success with claiming money back after being charged 4 a stay which wasn't booked I tried to find some accomodation at late notice in Brighton in June of this year. I used Old City as a search to see if it came up with anything suitable. It didn't, the message being that there was no accomodation available. I went on to make my own private arrangements, not using oldcity tourism.
I checked my bank statement yesterday to find they had debited just under £100 (this is three months later!) and there was no warning of this debit. The bank said I need to talk to oldcity so I rang the 0203 number, could hardly understand the message as it was garbled and unclear. I was put on hold and transferred several times without eplaining the problem, and when I asked for a refund I was put on hold again, and strangely enough CUT OFF. I have also emailed the company.
I was wondering if anyone else had experienced similar problems and if or how they got their money back.
Thanks
Lisa
