 Medical Tourism, are the horror stories the rule or the exception? I am considering going out of the country for cosmetic surgery (Brazil is my first choice). With the high cost of surgery here in the US medical tourism is becoming increasingly popular. The low cost is appealing but the horror stories presented in the media strongly discourage me. Does anyone have personal experience with medical tourism, good or bad? Are the horror stories of botched procedures the rule or the exception? And which countries have the best reputation?
