How expensive is it for a couple to go to Romania or Albania for a vacation?

It depends on where you live, what do you want to do there and for how long you want to go. I am from Romania and I can tell you it can be pretty expensive to go to any of these countries, especially if you don't know anybody there. Hotels for example, have different rates for foreign travelers than locals and also they expect a higher tip. Taxis will also overcharge you if you are not familiar with the rates or don't have a guide or a friend with you. Otherwise you'll find it very beautiful and there are lots to offer.Romania has beautiful mountain and seaside resorts, old castles and historic sites. Again, it depends what you are interested in.

Round Trip flight about $1000.00 per person.
Figure $60.00 day hotel
Meals 2 a day $30.00 per person....try to get a hotel that offers free breakfast.
The rest depends on what you want to allocate for blow money.
I am basing this cost on Germany since I lived there for several years. The cost in Romania or Albania more than likley will be somewhat cheaper since both of those countries are still developing.

Well, it all depends on your agenda, where you are coming from, how long you plan to stay.. etc. I went to Romania 6 years ago, I was there 10 days, nice accomidations and went there for $2000.00 Now I worked in an orphanage when I was there so several of my meals were provided, but I had a lovely time.. that was from the US to Romania.... and 6 yrs ago.. hope that helps??
