Is it good to invest in real estate in Macedonia, Europe?

Kryesore Is it good to invest in real estate in Macedonia, Europe?

Will the prices of houses and buildings grow in Ohrid and Skopje (Macedonia). Now the price of m2 in the centre of Ohrid is around 1000 EUR. Will the price grow when Macedonia will allow strangers to buy houses?

I would be very weary of making investments in real estate outside of the country or even the immediate sorounding I live in real estate is a "live" investment it needs nurturing and care that a LD relationship cannot sustain

the underlying issues are as follows.
1. macedonia is not in the E.U. (complex beauracracy/laws

2. Foreigners have to set up companies to purchase real estate time consuming and puts off would be purchasers

3. macedonia is not the E.U. which means foreign market currency fluctuations will affect the return

4. complex legal frame work that is very hard to understand or even get an english speaking competent lawyer who is on your side and not taking a cut from the vendor

5. as an ex- communist country everyone was given property free. so where is the demand coming from especially when most mid 20 somethings emigrate, those who are educated leave meaning those left have poorly paid jobs and wont be investing in property

6. high local interest rate hinder demand along with high unemployment.

these are the factors to consider. working in property as i do i would simply say. invest but expect returns in the long term not the short(5 - 10 years_
