One of my favorite places was in Waikiki...Hawaii...there was this ice cream vendor that was selling this really great cotton candy ice cream...and ya know...since then I haven't tasted that particular flavor that delicious since then! Sure , other places where I have been since have this flavor..but, it is NOT as tasty and as close to the real thing as that ice cream place over there! I wish that I could recall the name of the ice cream place..but, alas! I don't remember! Bummer!

Any of you have any absolute favorite flav's and what are they and why? How did you get hooked? LOL!
(I have always loved the taste of cotton candy)...especially from certain places...one of them was the cotton candy sold at Santa Cruz beach boardwalk(in California)...for some odd reason it always tasted wonderful..and soo much better than all of the other places.Maybe because it is made near the sea!! Otherwise I don't really know! Oh well!

The absolute best hot fudge sundae was in Hollywood at a family owned restaurant called C. C. Brown's. As with all good things, it no longer exists, but their hot fudge was beyond fabulous. It was rich and velvety and thick as molassas in January. They served it on the side in little pitchers so you could add it at just the right moment. For individual flavour, I loved Swenson's Pink Bubble gum. They made it fresh in the back of the shop. Again, a shop that no longer exists.....

I used to work at the Phoenix Ice Cream Plant, we made all the ice cream that is sold by Safeway. I had access to all the ice cream I could eat. My favorites that I recommend are, Mississippi Mud Pie, Lemon Sherbert Crunch, and Pumpkin Pie (only available during the winter holidays).

Working in a 20 below gigantic freezer that was two stories high during 100+ degree weather outside, it was heaven. Plus all the ice cream I could eat, I only had one meal there, the rest of the time it was ice cream.

I think the best creamy dessert place I've been to was the Tutto Bean gelato place. Its so creamy and rich and soft and the flavors are so incredibly strong. I guess because its warmer the flavors come through a lot more. The best ice cream place though would be Cold Stone Creamery.
