| my doctor told me i have too much protein in my body after testing me. i'm a vegetarian so i get my protein from soy..soy milk to soy sausage to soy bacon...almost every day. could it be because of that? any good suggestions for what i could eat throughout the day? diabetes runs in my family so im a little scared about haveing too much protein because im aware it could affect my kidneys.

| Yess. Most people would thing vegetarians would have trouble getting protein, but soy is packed full of protein, so consuming it in such quantities could cause too much protein. It could also do with how your body processes it, however. You'd have to get that checked if cutting out some protein doesn't work.Try fruits and vegetables and grains more often, and take out a lot of the soy, and avoid eggs (if you eat those) and nuts and such.
