What is the best way to cook Chesapeake Bay Blue Crabs?

We have a big (~12 gallon) steamer pot with a basket? How much water should I put in it to cook a full pot/basket of crabs? I am thinking I should drop the carbs into the basket already in the pot with water preheated (boiling), then cook for ~12 minutes, then pull the entire basket out. Also follow directions on Old Bay can for how much spice to add to the water.

steam with butter and garlicor steam with garlic and soy sauce in hot oilor use a wok and coat crab with some cornstarch and add ginger, garlic , wine, and green onions or shallots

Hi _ I'm from New Zealand ... and if you have Chesapkeake Bay seasoning from Penzeys ... that would be my pick. Old Bay is ok I guess
