How does it feel not eating meat because of animal cruelty when animals themselves maul and maliciously kill one another for food (meat)? Doesn't that make you all out to look kind of stupid and fighting for a cause that the animals already understand and believe in? No offense ...i wasn't trying to be smart or anything, i just wanted to spark some answers. i saw the video on the PETA website that showed animal cruelty ...and i couldn't even watch it. IT WAS JUST TERRIBLE. It won't stop me from eating me because i love my chicken and occasional steak, but wow - do they have to be so insane with it?Dana R & theabortedfetuses ...you guys have an insane sense of humor. Ahhhh. No. I don't have to maul another animal to death in order to survive. I also don't need to eat another animal in order to survive. I can live very happily on vegetables and products made from vegetables.As a vegetarian I have a MUCH lower risk of obesity, heart disease, cancers, joint problems, senility, stroke, and more. I have increased stamina and energy.So...how stupid am I? I think I am quite clever.And no offense was taken.

Well, I would like to think of the human race as a bit more advanced that the animal kingdom.Animal(ie-lions, bears, etc) must eat meat to survive. They are only made to eat meat based diet and cannot survive otherwise. Animals kill one another for food because they must.Human are not carnivores and live healthier on a plant based diet. Humans do not kill and eat meat for survival and necessity but for their taste buds. Wild animals killing each other for foos is natural and keeps the environment in check. Humans have removed themselves from the natural way of things and turned eating into a mass production line. Breeding animals to slaughter them.I believe animals have it right, the carnivores eat meat, the vegetarian animals eat plants. There is a system of checks and balances.Animals do what comes naturally, they do not "understand and believe" in what they do. They simply do what instinct tells them to.We as humans are capable of reasoning and understanding yet we are the only animal on earth that is destroying the earth/enviroment, and slowly killing everything on the planet(kind of ironic).

No. We do not have the right to destroy the earth and kill god's creatures the way that non vegetarians choose to. These animals kill because they need to. Meat is not our only choice, being vegetarian is surprisingly simple Besides, do animals skin each other, remove their hooves, grind it all up and put it in marshmallows just because it tastes good? didn't think so. Wiping out whole species doesn't seem fair to me either. Are you comparing humans with animals?We have more developed brains than they do. Thats why you are trying to reason out something in a logical way.whatever the religion you believe in, it is only humans that can reach the ultimate goal of that particular religion. Even if you dont believe in any religion and still you can understand the pain they suffer when they get killed. But animals dont. Animals do it by instinct.
