| She would not eat anything! I have been searching over a year now for a good dog food to give her & she would eat it one or two days then stop. I finally gave in and fed her hot dogs... because someone said I should try that. I was also wondering if milk was harmful to dogs and or hot dogs. I know dogs are not humans & should not eat human food.... but this is the only thing I can get her to eat & she likes milk. Thanks.

| just lay out the dog food and make sure the mutt cant get to anything else....sooner or later the dog will eat the dog food. You rule the pet...the pet does NOT rule you.

| Your dog will not be getting the correct nutrients it needs from human food.My dog is very fussy with her food, so I buy lots of different types, dried, small tins, pouches. When she won't eat I add a little grated cheese in with her food, then she eats it.Milk is okay now and then, but make sure you dog has water also.

| Dogs shouldn't be fed hot dogs everyday for their main meal. Dog foods have vitamins and certain things dogs need to be healthy that hot dogs just cant provide them...Have you tried mixing some hot dogs in with the dog food? Try adding a little bit of hot water to soften up the dog food. Add some meat juice or something left over from making dinner. Try a little bit of wet dog food to make the dry dog food taste better.

| milk as a treat is fine! so is the occasional hotdog (but hotdogs are really high in fat so be careful) not given any other choice she will eat her dog food, you just need to be firm.

| It is not good for anyone humans or dogs to live on a diet of hot dogs. Try to find a good food and chop or grind up a hot dog and put it in there and if she eats it make the hot dog amount less and less or switch it with a small amount of wet dog food.Dogs take time to adjust to any new diet so she may have had an upset tummy from each food change so feed her in small portions more times a day when you feed her take her water away for about thirty minutes then you can leave it down you just don't want her to eat her food and gulp water down too fast with all that food in her

| Milk is not good for dogs. Most dogs are lactose intolerant. Like people, they might like it, but that doesn't mean it is good for them. Same with hotdogs. If you need to find something your dog will eat...www.rawmeatybones.comwww.rawfed.com/mythswww.rawlearning.com

| Whoa- lot of misconceptions to clear up here. 8^)Please don't feed your dog hotdogs- especially the generic kind which is basically slaughter-house mystery meat. I would avoid supermarket dog food / kibble. There are many healthy dog foods that you might not have tried yet like Muenster's Natural Milling and Solid Gold (they're not available everywhere, you might have to buy'em online). Don't give your dog milk either- the only milk they need is from their mother. It takes humans about 3+ hours to digest milk. The other misconception is dogs should not eat human food. This is 100% absolutely incorrect. I cook my dogs a natural diet consisting of organic turkey, organic vegetables and whole grain brown rice. They love it. I store it in the freezer and warm it up for dinner. Back in the day, before dog food companies were poisoning dog food, dogs only ate people food. For a more complete history, visit http://www.b-naturals.com/Aug2005.phpThere are certain people foods you should NOT feed your dog because they are poisonous. This list includes garlic/onion, chocolate and grapes. After you got a good, healthy organic diet going (see https://secure.balanceit.com/_client/), then make sure to supplement your dogs food w/ fatty acids & multivitamins. I use lipiderm (fatty acid product) and have seen great results in my dogs. For more in-depth reading, check out Dr. Pitcairn's Complete Guide to Natural Healthy for Dogs & Cats. Great book- I highly recommend it.Bottom line: If its not good enough for me, then it isn't good enough for my dog. www.peteducation.com www.peteducation.com www.peteducation.com

| Hot dogs are too high in fat and sodium to be a regular staple for a dog. Milk is also bad for them because it causes digestive problems. There are *healthy* people-food alternatives that you can feed to a finicky dog (chicken, rice, etc.) - do some research on "home cooked dog food" for ideas and recipes.

| try not to spoil her, just give her dog food and she will have to eat it sooner or later. my puppy did this after my husband fed him something from our food. He wouldnt touch his food untill he knew he was not getting anymore, then he ate his dog food.
