Ideas On A Sauce For Asparagus?

I'm having guests to dinner tomorrow night and i wanted to cook some Asparagus in a lovely sauce as part of the main course, but i have no ideas of what kind of sauce would go best. I'd be really grateful for your help...

I've had hollandaise with asparagus before, which i liked, but my favorite is asparagus wrapped in bacon or prosciutto

No arguing that Hollandaise is the classic, but this could restrict what the asparagus is served with.I sometimes do a variation on ohsotired where I squish a small cherry tomato into the middle of a small bunch of asparagus then wrap some Parma or Pancetta round it to hold it all together. Drizzle with olive oil, season then roast. Each person then gets their own little parcel.

Depending on what you are serving it with, there is also the option of some reduced balsamic vinegar just drizzled over the top of the asparagus. Gives a nice sweet and sour taste.
