| ...and other employees well? Ok, if your friend, or someone you're in a relationship with, told you there was an available position at their job, and you were sure to get it, because they knew the manager and other employees weel, would you jump at the opportunity? Why or why not? Please share your positive or negative experiences, or what you feel are the best or worst POSSIBLE outcomes of doing this? Note: These are people you don't know, or you have only come to know them through association with this friend or person you're going out with, so they aren't really your friends, at least not yet...it may or may not reach that level.

| If you can apply and get the job on your own merit without ANY assistance from this person then perhaps it would be okay.I am always wary of the dating someone you work with thing. There is always the potential of an ugly breakup and then having to see this person on a daily basis.

| If it was someone I'm dating no. It could ruin your relationship for sure. If it's your friend yes as long as things can be kept professional. I worked with a friend who became my manager and it got me a promotion eventually. The bad part is everyone knew we were friends and created some problems later but overallit was a good resume builder at the time. I always like to keep things professional because it causes less problems.

| well i think that is depends on your friendship, you know what your friend is like or you think that you do. Is it possible that they will have a power trip at work? I mean I think that it is totally a personal decision. My hubby was my boss for 3 years and it worked out fine with us but what made it hard was that people always thought I was given special treatment which was not the case. I am a hard worker and did my job plus other peoples but when they knew that they were in the wrong they always wanted to blame it on the He was not being fair to them. So Id say if ya are gonna jump in then be prepared for things that you do not expect and hope that your relationship can handle what ever comes your way. good luck
