i have a 16 year old brother who is really mean and annoying. he does rude things like burping in my face, making really mean remarks, arguing with everything i say, calling me gay and fag (and im a girl), etc. he is immature. i do not even provoke him. he's just cocky and mean. problem is, my mom will not do anything. "hes just being a boy" is what she always says for everything. then she gets mad at me for getting mad at him for him treating me like crap. all this is lowering my self esteem. i cant say a fact or something without him arguing and telling me im wrong. he always says mean things and then "j/k" just so he will get away with it. i am really fed up with it. im tired of feeling like crap around the house all the time. and my mom believes him and me almost all of the time. so i have no one to stick up for me or comfort me. i know there is "sibiling rivalry", but he is utterly disrespectful. i try to not let it get to me but its hard. what should i do?
