My best girl friend has been acting really weird lately.. like she has a short temper and hasn't been her usuall happy self. She usually always is interested in having a conversation. The last few days though she has been acting almost the oppisite.. eg: tired, short tempered, not wanting to talk that much... i started to think it was something i did (idk what though).. but i talked to my cousin and she says its most likely PMS and that it prob. has nothing to do with me... now idk if i should call her or what to see if everything is alright? Do you think it is just PMS? And if it is, how long should she be like this? Thanks.. PS... i'm a guy

There could be something else that is really bothering her. As her friend, you should be there for her now and talk to her and ask if she is alright. She could be PMSing, but there could also be another issue behind that one.

I love how people just leap to PMS as an answer to any moodiness. It could be anything, but the best thing to do might be to give her some space for a few days and let her deal with whatever it is and once she's her normal, bubbly self and wants to spend time with you again, she'll let you know. Could her feelings for you be changing?

Well, to truly know if she's going through PMS, you'd have to know her a year to get a handle on it, they come in cycles, every 26-31 days. However, not knowing your friend, I would kind of ease into the conversation: "You don't seem like yourself lately, is there anything wrong?" If you two are true friends, she will tell you in her own time. For right now, it could be a few things that have nothing to do with you or it could have everything to do with you, you won't know till you talk about it, in the meantime, if you approach her and she still refuses to talk or snaps at you, give her some room and let her come to you. she is probably going through that. You can call her and see if she is okay. But she is probably giong to be like that for a few days. She camoe back around before you know it. Its a monthly thing so you got to get use to it.
