My ex and i have recently broken up, because i had trust issues. It wasn't bad but i was just really curious, nothing he has done but things my ex's had done. So, we take this break but yet he still acts as though i am his girlfriend, but with no solid commitment. I meet another guy, i come out and tell him he blows up and starts to hate me. He forgives me, "he says" and i leave the other guy alone (only talked to him for 2 days). We remain on the "break" and today he tells me that he will get back with me when he can trust me, and that he's not ready for a commited relationship right now anyway.So of course i get mad, what in blazes!! then he says that he knows he's gonna marry me down the road so us taking a break is ok, what can you make of all of this does it make sense?? b/c deep down inside i feel like a fool for believing this!

OMG.... this hurts, i know because it has happened to me. a very similar situation as a matter of fact. Why the break? Perhaps he is feeling the seriousness of marriage, and he is slightly nervous about taking the big... the biggest step he going to take. as far as your encounter with another man while on your break... to me it seems harmless. I believe that he is putting you on the chopping block to dodge the real issue at hand. you talking to another man while on break does not violate any rules of relationship, but he has some issue with commitment and is using that as an excuse to prolong engagement. wait it out for a bit. if he still has trust issues, perhaps it is him, and not you that cannot be trusted. best of luck.
