| It is supposed to rain this Saturday and the weather says 30% chance of rain and I am freaking out.....We planned to have the wedding and reception outdoors. Didn't really have a back up plan...What should we do? Hold out another couple of days and see if the weather changes or should we go ahead and make alternative arrangements...such as a church or banquet hall and just go ahead and let the guests know.

| Your back up plan is to rent a huge tent!!! Get some of those really cool looking paper laterns and hang them, and maybe some space heaters!?! Those are so cute!

| When planning an outdoor ceremony/reception, you should ALWAYS have a back up plan for bad weather. If it's not pouring--you might be able to simply rent a tent. But I would DEFINITELY have a plan of what you'll do incase it's simply pouring down rain during your wedding/reception, and figure out how you will communicate that to guests, etc.

| Go ahead with it, we had had a slight chance of rain i believe it didn't end up raining til the reception, if it starts to rain just put up a big tent i know it sounds trashy, it doesn't look trashy at all there are no sides just a top and it will keep you dry don't postpone it that's bad luck. Anyways it will work out in the end, GOOD LUCK!!!!!!!

| I got married outdoors December 1980 in Florida during a Hurricane. It was raining very heavily and the wind was blowing at 35 to 50 mph. Thank goodness I had some tents ordered set up or everything would have been a wash out. The guest all took it in stride, rolled up their pants, took off their shoes and danced the day away. We thought December would be a good time. Cooler temperatures and passed the normal hurricane and rainy seasons but, mother nature had other ideas. 30% isn't a big chance in my oppinion. But if you still fell nervous try contact a local tent rental company and see about getting some protection.good luck and heres to a happy and long marriage! Cheers

| We had intended to hold our son's wedding outside on our deck, with the guests seated on rented folding chairs in our yard. About 20 minutes before the weddding was to begin, it started to rain, hard.A miracle happened, and our neighbor came over and said that his boss had rented a tent for a picnic the next day, and the tent was now residing in his garage. It only took about 10 minutes to put it up, and everything worked out great. If I were you, I would definitely start calling tent rental places, or you will not sleep between now and Saturday. Maybe you can find out from them if someone who has one rented for Sunday would make some arrangement whereby you could use it on Saturday if necessary.I'm sure that your wedding will be beautiful.

| I've been to a couple. Usually it's just a cloud burst if anything. I might get a tent just in case.
