We have unofficially adopted my cousin's roommate. We include Mary (27 y/o) in everyday things and family outings. However, she now has a boyfriend (age 23) of 3 months that we can't stand . He is very immature. He acts very childish even in public and we have to call him down like a 3 year old. He is VERY irresponsible with his money. His mother pays his bills and Mary pays for everything else. He recently joined us for lunch without Mary. He left early and we had to pay for his meal. He even just bought a truck with $500 a month payments he couldnt afford. Now we are planning a day out shopping and mentioned it to Mary last night. Said "Girls day out. No guys." She said "He wont go for that."How do we let her know that she is welcomed but he isnt without putting a rift in our relationship? Help, my aunt is about to have a "serious conversation" with her as he has casually asked her to marry him. We all believe he wants to marry her because she makes very good money.

Unfortunately she's a grown up. She WILL make her own decisions. You can let her know, but she may push you away for it. Be very fragile with this situation. Personally, I would tell her flat out I can't stand him, if she doesn't like it, then too bad.
