| I wore an off-white gown because white make me look too washed out. And it was fine.

| A white wedding dress symbolizes sexual purity. If you wear a different color, people might get the wrong idea. However, I don't think there are any rules saying you have to wear white.

| No, infact they don't HAVE to, it's just tradition...if a bride is a widow...she certainly would not wear white...

| No. It's a free world and the church can't dictate the color of your dress. I'm a Catholic but white looks to stark with my skin tone. For my wedding I'm probably going with a more ivory tone because it looks better on me. (Not that I'm anywhere near marriage yet.) So pick a dress that YOU like and don't worry about it.P.S. Congrats!

| You don't have to wear white however wearing a dress that isn't white indicates that when you marry that you are not a virgin...This is generally frowned upon in the church.Regardless, colored dresses are becoming a little more popular again so as long as the dress color isn't an indication of your so called "purity", the priest shouldn't mind. I would ask your priest if your church has wedding dress color restrictions although I imagine that most do not. There is a lot of information on the origins of wedding dress colors at the link below... it is a long article or I would copy and paste.http://www.wedalert.com/content/arti...Traditions.asp

| I think that the color you choose to wear at your wedding is up to you. I personally like the "traditional wedding" and will wear white. I am catholic and I don't know of any rules against wearing colors other that white.

| The fact the you're Catholic has nothing to do with the color of your gown. If you have yellow in mind, in gods eyes that will be perfect. He's just gonna be happy to see you there.
