 why is paris hilton famous? does she have talent in some area? there are other hiers who are'nt famous. why does anyone even care? she only does the kind of stuff kids do in every town in america.

| She's famous because of her grandfather, who owns the Hilton Suites. Also, recently, she was drunk driving, went to prison for about 45 days, and was seen doing some innapropiete things...

| Sure there are other heiresses around, but Paris was one smart cookie. She has always been a friend to the paparrazzi. Just look how she has always handled herself. When she steps out, she poses and smiles and speaks to the cameramen taking her picture. So of course she was seeked out because of that. Whether we admit it or not, we have a fascination with the lives of the wealthy. We're jealous, of course, but we're also curious. Paris got involved with acting, singing, perfume, clothes designing, just to name a few of the businesses she's been involved in. At least she does more than just take Daddy's money. All of that is why Paris has always been "famous" for just being herself.

| It's not like she can act. It's not like she can sing. (Unless you think of her song 'Stars are Blind' as the next pop masterpiece) She's famous because she's a socialite.Also, she's famous because she had sex with some ugly guy, and he decided to tape it and release it on the Internet. And, she's famous because she was supposed to be in jail for 45 days for driving without a license, but she got out early for some reason.
