| Every American drama I see if it's not Crime or Action, then it usually has soft-rock and emo music between scenes especially at the end. ER, Smallville, The OC (RIP), Grey's Anatomy are just some of them. The guilty parties are usually Maroon 5, Coldplay, Muse and those other bands I can't name. Don't forget Jeff Buckley in season finales as well! All of the shows seem to end in a montage punctuated with this music. Why? And when did it start?

| Well in One Tree Hill that is the kind of music they play but I think they choose the songs really well to go with a particular scene and they play most of the song! Its one of the the reasons I love the show!!!But other shows normally do it to add effect!

| That's the best part! And so many bands have made their names and sold millions of albums because of it (Snow Patrol, The Fray, Coldplay, etc.)
