No instrument is truly easier to learn than another...it's a matter of when the learning becomes difficult. For instance, the trumpet is relatively easy to start on, but to get very good at it you eventually have to work extremely hard (3-6 hours of practice a day). On the other hand, the violin is very difficult right away, but once you learn all the fingerings and such, other areas become more difficult. Ultimately, any instrument has its own difficulties when you learn. In your case, the drums will definitely be easier to START with, but the guitar is more versatile once you get the hang of it.
