Last year (I'm reffering to the last grade I was in) So they put me in the ESE English Class and it just brought down my self-esteem I knew I was able to perform at a way higher level then what my ESE English teacher was teaching. Now we move foward to this school year I was moved into the normal English class and scored High B's to low A's in the class My Teacher is now reccomending I move into Honors English.It just puzzles me how one grade I end up in ESE English and then the next grade I'm being reccomended to Honors English. I just wonder why did they put me in ESE English in the first place?

Not sure. I was always smart, but I moved to a different town and they thought that since I was Southern I was stupid, so they put me in what was referred to as the slow class in 3rd grade. I remember that I was really bored...nearly to tears most days, while my classmates were struggling to read printing.My point is that schools make dumb decisions on kids based on information that is ridiculous. In your case, it probably could have been some kind of mixup. I'm not attempting to be political here, but I've heard also about a lot of weird things happening to kids due to the No Child Left Behind Law. I've heard stories of kids being moved around to help beef up a school's rating in certain areas where they are underperforming. Of course, I don't know anyone in that situation, but I've heard of it happening.
