i am chinese , i want to work in a foreign invested company, because my major is related to electricity and mechanism , and germany play a important role on these field , i want to learn german language, who can give me some suggestion?

I speak a lot of german. And I found out that if you learn all the technicalities of the english language first, it really helps. Because a lot of the time they are teaching you all of these certain words that have to do with things like past conjunctions in request forms. And if you dont know what that is in english, how are you supposed to know what it is in german? Its really tough. I have found that german is really close to english. But there are genders you have to learn which is tedious.
