 Are handicapped kids a form of punishment? My aunt said my cousin's down syndrome daughter was a form of "punishment" for her doing something wrong. Is this true? I mean I don't really believe it, but still what if there is some truth to it? You what they say where there's smoke there's fire....

| Absolutely not! Handicaps are just something that occurs randomly - not the result of what the parent(s) have done. Handicapped children may even be a blessing (and not a punishment) as God can't trust them to just ANY run of the mill parent! It takes someone special to care for and love a handicapped child.
