| It blows my mind to think that even in this day of free public school, free lunches, etc we still have people not able to finish high school and sometimes getting GEDs. Why? And I noticed that not all the high school dropouts in my school were disabled so why is a disabled person (who worked really hard) can finish high school and sometimes college but a regular person can't finish? Especially since the standards have seriously been lowered???

| Its sad when you think about it because in developing countries they don't always have that opportunity. And when they do, sitting on dirt floors with no books, they cherish it. There a lot of people like that in the Us too but with a dropout rate of about 30 % i think there are so many that don't give a damn or give up

| In my experience I'm still willing to give up my studies because unfriendly and always teased me with my classmates and then I decided to transfer the other school and I continue my studies and I was graduated in school during my elementary days and then when I was in college I'm really afraid of my mentor because of her being terror teacher and afterwards I already to overcome in my bad experiences in my life. The reasons of many youths are did not finish their studies in the school due to lack of their interest if they not to participate in the school activities, poverty because they cannot afford their money if they want to buy in the some things they needed in the school or even parents they want to helped to their children to accompanied in their some jobs to can afford to their some things they needed like food, medicine or even money.I'm really admired to the some disabled students that they doing in their studies,to the participate in the school activities and they enter to the college aside of being working student because they want to supported in their lives and to provided that some things they needed and until they finish their studies.

| There is a severe shortage of good teachers, its rare to have one good one. If teachers made more interesting activities, maybe kids would look forward to school.I wish there were more teachers who actully liked their jobs.Schools today are too focused on winning awards. and some kids just give up.
