My son who is profoundly deaf and has dyspraxia, has been offered drama therapy next term at school using the "sesame" approach. Have any other parents had experience of this please, i'd love to hear what you thought of it!!!

My son's social therapist just recommended this for us . . . He is four and is expressive speech delayed and has been slow to socially integrate with his peers (he does great with slightly older children - just not those his own age). I'm not sure what the "sesame" approach is but her theory is that by putting a child that is socially delayed in a group of children that are socially precocious will help to accelerate his integration skills. I should mention that this drama camp is not being run specifically for children with disabilities. We will start this fall in an after school program . . . my email is on my profile.
