What is spam??

okay i have heard about this a lot on websites and on myspace an im not very familiar with a lot of computer realated words so i dont know what this is. i have heard it in spam mail spam links ect.
WTF is spam??

yeah, it's just mass emails or posts that are meant to just annoy or advertise etc.

it is unwanted or unsolicited advertisment in email, phone ,mail or a popup window on a web page that your browsing.

Spam is junk mail that clutters your inbox, and can possibly send harmful files, (ex: virus, trojan, worms,) to your computer if you open them.

Spam is unsolicited, bulk mail sent to user.

Most of them include offers and discount, other request info about you.

This mails are sent most of the time thru fake address, and this mails can arrive to your mailbox by random mix of user names (pete@mail.com, pete1@mail.com p3t3@mail.com) or cuz you registered your mail address in some fake pages.

Unwanted email. Usually trying to sell you something.
Be grateful you don't have it.
spamcop.net is a great service to report spam to. It is no cost and they go after the spammers.

Spam 1 = Canned meat

Spam 2 = Stupid pointless annoying messages.
